Water and Sanitation Programs – Safe Water. Healthy Communities. Sustainable Futures.
Access to clean water and basic sanitation remains a daily struggle for many underserved communities in Bangladesh. Contaminated water sources and poor hygiene practices expose families to preventable diseases, placing the greatest burden on women and children. Without reliable access to safe drinking water, health risks persist and community development is stalled.
Through the WaterWellness Project, SNAD Foundation Bangladesh addresses this urgent need by delivering sustainable, community based water and sanitation solutions. The project constructs deep tube wells to ensure year round access to safe drinking water, conducts regular water quality testing to protect public health, and promotes hygiene awareness to reduce the spread of waterborne illnesses. Community engagement and education are central to the approach, helping residents adopt healthy practices and take ownership of water resources.
WaterWellness directly advances SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) while contributing to improved health, reduced disease, and greater resilience at the household level. By securing access to safe water and promoting sanitation, SNAD Foundation Bangladesh is protecting lives and laying the foundation for healthier, more sustainable communities.
