PROTIVA (Professional Resourcefulness and Orientation for Technical Innovation) is SNAD Foundation Bangladesh’s flagship vocational training program, designed to equip youth and marginalized individuals with practical, market ready skills. The initiative focuses on creating clear pathways to employment and self employment, enabling participants to earn with dignity, support their families, and build resilient futures in a rapidly changing economy.
The Challenge: Talent Without Opportunity
Across Bangladesh, thousands of capable young people and working age adults remain unemployed or underemployed due to limited access to relevant skills and professional guidance. As traditional jobs decline and new industries emerge, the gap between education and employability continues to widen. Without targeted training and market linkages, many are left trapped in uncertainty and economic vulnerability.
Our Intervention and Impact
PROTIVA bridges this gap by aligning skills development with real labor market demand. SNAD Foundation Bangladesh delivers hands on training across high demand sectors including professional caregiving, tailoring and sewing, mobile phone servicing, professional driving, entrepreneurship and business planning, and essential information technology skills. The program combines technical training with mentorship, career guidance, and placement support, ensuring participants can translate skills into income.
By enabling employment, supporting micro enterprise creation, and strengthening self reliance, PROTIVA contributes directly to SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 1 (No Poverty). Through this initiative, SNAD Foundation Bangladesh is not just providing training, but building confidence, restoring dignity, and creating sustainable livelihoods that endure beyond the classroom.
