Syed Obaidur Rahman stood as a man of principle and deep moral clarity. He believed in the transformative power of education and the fundamental right to healthcare for all. His compassion extended beyond his family and community—leaving behind a legacy of care and conscience.

Our Purpose

Aniqa, 32, is battling end-stage kidney failure. Unmarried and living with her elderly parents in Shanir Akhra, Dhaka, her life now depends on a kidney transplant within the next 3 months. The cost—BDT 14–15 lakh—is more than her family can bear.
Her brother, Radib, is doing all he can, while weekly dialysis at Gonoshasthaya Kendra keeps her going. But the burden of rising medical expenses has left the family overwhelmed.
In May 2025, the Begum Zohra & Syed Obaidur Rahman Trust stepped in to support Aniqa’s treatment. It’s a small step in a long journey—but one that brings hope when it’s needed most.
Born into poverty and living with a physical disability, Shahin Alam from Mirznagar, Naogaon, never gave up on his dream of completing his Kamil (Master’s) at Sarsina Alia Madrasah. But when financial hurdles threatened to end his education, he reached out to the Begum Zohra & Syed Obaidur Rahman Trust with a heartfelt plea.
We saw not just a request, but a young man full of resilience and hope. Without hesitation, we covered his admission and form-filling fees.
Today, Shahin is back on track, studying with renewed determination. His tears of gratitude remind us why we exist—to uplift, to empower, and to believe in dreams.
